Are you struggling with finding meaning in the face of the global chaos, disease, falling governments, and unspeakable human conditions? What does it even look like to show up your best these days when your heart is heavy and you’re surrounded with so much uncertainty? We challenge you to rethink your stances and encourage you to lean into our community. Learn to enjoy peak experiences, spark the human initiative in your community, and have compassion for the world around you.
We can design the life we want to live! It really is all about freedom and personal choice. You don't have to live out someone else's dream. No one wants to be a slave to the IRS, to the Bank...sters, to the big Corporations and be told what they have to do! We know we don't! Give your life some thought! The problem with most people is they just don't think! It really is a paradigm shift from what society has imposed upon our free will. The world may seem like it is upside down right now or on fire (especially on the west coast). We all have a perception of reality where the negatives outweigh the positives. That is why bad new sells. Our brains are programed to watch out for the negatives so that one can survive. Let's recreate our vision of what makes us happy... focus on the positive and what we really want in our lives. How about a cabin floating on the lake, off grid, with a defined passionate purpose, the freedom to work on what we enjoy (working with our respective skill sets) with a sense of community of like minded freedom seekers? This is what "Hope Floats" offers to those that want to take the "path less traveled"! It has been quite a journey that has left us humbled by the enormous generosity offered by nature and has allowed us to stop being a cog in someone else's wheel. Let's establish a gift economy of sharing and caring! Like "Barter" but "Better"! A thoughtful, designed quality of life!
Happiness is subjective and almost never linked to money!
First, there’s no golden path to happiness. No recipe. Nada. Life tends to be a reflection of your inner self as well as any challenges and lessons you chose to undertake. It all depends on the window through which you are looking at your life. It’s up to you to discover what you want in your life.
Our closing thoughts: If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.
